mere two or three years' work; you must always bear in

mind the long history of the Kuomintang. It is most important that members of our Kuomintang should be fully cognizant of the history of our Party. Any member who does not take the trouble to make himself acquainted with the history of the Kuomintang but follows without any true,

discernment of the rights and wrongs of the position what others advocate to him, cannot satisfactorily

consider himself to be a faithful follower of our

President, and a loyal and honest member of the

Kuomintang.

Our President originally established the Chung Hing Wui, then changed it into the Tung Mang Yui, then

into the Kwok Man Tong and then again into the present

Chung Kwok Kwok Man Tong (the Chinese National Democratic

Party). Let us take into account all the changes that have taken place in the history of our Kuomintang. Although the Tung Mang Wui has not radically reformed China so as

to make her a real Republic, yet in the course of its

history and by its efforts the despotic Manchurian

Government which reigned for a period of about 200 years,

has been overthrown end the country restored to our own

Chinese race. Such unprecedented success will always

constitute a glorious page in the history of the Chinese

Revolution, and one which can never be destroyed or

forgotten.

At that time many of our revolutionary members

had inevitably fallen out of our ranks, and some had

even transferred their loyalty and become reactionaries.

This state of affairs is now past, but we cannot treat

such members as our comrades, because in the present surge of revolution and in the new spirit of the age
